At Whatley & Company, we have seen it all–the good and the bad, the successful way to achieve the desired results and the unsuccessful. Our number one goal is to utilize our unique experience to help our clients achieve what is important to them.

The Whatley Process has been designed and developed over many years of successfully working with advisors. The customized four step process is designed to focus on individual’s needs. There is no boilerplate, each of our select client engagements are tailored to their unique needs, markets, and desired outcomes.

Vince Caine

Owner & Consultant

Vince works with top performing Financial Advisors, Teams, and Firms on successfully streamlining and growing their businesses. He utilizes his 25+ years of leadership experience in the financial services industry to help clients focus on differentiating their practice for business development. 

 

As a new advisor, Vince organically grew a practice into a $500,000 business in his first 4 years with Merrill Lynch. His early success evolved into leadership positions at Merrill Lynch and then Smith Barney. His growth in business and management responsibilities culminated in 5 offices, 60+ advisors and $4 Billion in client assets. In 2010 Vince and a partner conceived, developed, and launched a web-based service to connect buyers and sellers of privately held bank stock, BancList continues under new leadership today.

 

In 2011, Vince was offered a position with Stephens Inc. to establish and build a Private Client Office in Atlanta. The office experienced tremendous growth during his 4 years as Branch Manager. On January 1, 2016 he acquired and began to reshape Whatley & Company, a consulting firm.

Mac Stidham

A forty-year plus veteran of the investment industry, Mac was an officer in the Marine Corps before accepting an opportunity as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. He was then offered a leadership position with one of the most storied and respected investment firms, The Robinson Humphrey Company, where he would ultimately serve on the Board of Directors. Mac spent the next several years and many mergers and acquisitions in various leadership roles with Robinson Humphrey [became] Smith Barney [became] Morgan Stanley. Most recently Mac was the Eastern Division Manager for Stephens, a private investment banking and wealth management firm.

 

Mac and his wife, Beverly, have a home in Columbia, South Carolina, and a farm north of there. Mac and Beverly have two children and five grandchildren. When Mac is not working in the business, he is playing the mandolin and singing in his bluegrass band or competing in bird hunting trials.
